The room was very spaciuos and well fitted, giving a relaxed feel. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Although we only at at breakfast time, the food available was of a very good standard.

The rooms are not well sound proofed and can lead to a fitfull nights sleep when others use the corridor or adjacent rooms.

Very helpful staff, proximity to sea front, size of room.

Very tired furnishings and decor, could do with a thorough update. Only 4 teabags, 1 hot chocolate sachet and 3 biscuits between 2 people. Very expensive although maybe you're paying for the location.

Very friendly and helpful check-in staff, particularly because they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite - recommend getting there early!

I'd suggest that it was slightly over-priced, and would probably have been annoyed, had we not been upgraded for free. The standard rooms didn't seem worth the price, although it was a bank holiday weekend, which might have pushed prices up.

The courtesy and pleasantness of the staff. The standard of decoration and the amenities in the room

I was staying because my daughter was in the Marathon and the staff were extremely helpful with route maps, distance etc

Room smelled damp and there was mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, room was over priced and £8.00 for breakfast is too expensive, would not stay here again.

Hotel very old and run down, too expensive for what you get

I was in my room with my partner when without any notice the door open and a member of staff is standing their asking me if I need room service. I didnt appriciate this and thought it was very unproffesional. She didnt knock on my door and if I needed room service I would call for it. Not only did she just walk in she stood their whilst me and my partner where not fully clothed, which made the situation slightly more embarrasing

The breakfast was superb and the staff very friendly

Room decor was a bit shabby and the shower curtain was mouldy

the garden. near the sea side. a very calm room, hearing the sea at night.

I like the location. The staff was responsive in resolving a problem that arose during my stay.

Mattress quality could be better... I felt the springs. Use of comforters is outdated..could be an issue if you have allergies. Bedroom was cold. Although the sheets were clean and crisp, the blankets were old and made them look dirty (perhaps they weren't), but I didn't feel inspired to use them.

We had booked a double room for one night and last minute my daughter wanted to come - we were charged an extra £30 but there was a divan bed very comfortable for her and we were very pleased (we expected a travel bed)

It struggles for 3 stars. Decor looking a little faded within rooms. Down a flight of stairs for breakfast would be difficult for some elderly visitors. Single room layout in bathroom very cramped and electrical outlets for hairdryer and kettle could be improved.

Parking is a nightmare as you pay £6 per day to park on the street and then get a ticket if you do not complete the form correctly - and the hotel staff do not help you!

I was pleasently surprised by the standard. Close to the beach. We were using this hotel because my daughter was running in the marathon. The staff provided an early breakfast on a Sunday when we explained we would need it early.
